Kay M. Baker is currently the Director of AMI Training for the child in the second plane at the Washington Montessori Institute at Loyola College in Maryland. She holds AMI diplomas for the child up to age seven and the child ages six to twelve. She has a B.A. in mathematics, an M.A. in mathematics education, and a Ph.D. in mathematics education. Her dissertation is entitled “Children’s Solution Strategies for Multiplication Word Problems.” She is a school consultant for AMI/USA, author of journal articles for the North American Montessori Teacher’s Association and AMI Communications, and a keynote speaker at Montessori conferences. Dr Baker has a particular interest in enhancing the development of thinking in children. |

Dr Annette M. Haines is the Director of Training for the Montessori Training Center of St. Louis. Dr Haines is an internationally recognised lecturer, examiner, and trainer for AMI. She has been involved in the field of Montessori education since 1972 and has extensive background in the Children’s House classroom. Dr Haines holds both AMI Primary and Elementary Diplomas. Additionally, she has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature, a masters degree in education, and a doctorate in education with research focused on concentration and normalisation within the Montessori prepared environment. She currently chairs the AMI Scientific Pedagogy Committee and is a member of the Executive Committee of the AMI Board. |

David Kahn is Executive Director of the North American Montessori Teachers’ Association, and serves as Pedagogical Advisor at Hershey Montessori Farm School, an acclaimed adolescent program, in Ohio. He holds a B.A. in fine arts and classics from the University of Notre Dame as well as the AMI Montessori Elementary Diploma from Bergamo, Italy. He has seventeen years of Montessori teaching experience, twelve of them as teaching principal at Ruffing Montessori School (Cleveland, Ohio). David has produced extensive media works, both print and video, and has been involved in the provision of Montessori professional development throughout the world. |

Amy Kirkham has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education since 1988 and is an AMI 3-6 Trainer for AMTEF. She gained her AMI 3-6 Diploma in 1993 and in addition to this holds a Master of Education, a Bachelor of Educational Studies specialising in Hearing Impairment and a Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood), all awarded from the University of Melbourne. She has worked as an early childhood teacher, educational play therapist and Montessori directress. Amy is also involved in the provision of professional development for Montessori staff as well as parent and community education. She is a board member of the Australian AMI Alumni Association Inc. and the Montessori Children’s Foundation. |

Dr Jean Miller received her Doctorate of Education from Case Western University in 1981. Her Doctorate dissertation is titled “The Montessori Music Curriculum for Children Up to the Age of Six.” Trained in Bergamo, Italy, she holds an AMI 6-12 Diploma. She received an AMI 3-6 Diploma from the Montessori Institute in Cleveland. Dr Miller has over 40 years of experience working with children in both private and public Montessori schools. She has given lectures and workshops to colleges and Montessori groups throughout the world. Dr Miller is an AMI certified consultant, examiner, and Primary (6-12) teacher trainer. She has been the music lecturer at training centres in both North America and Europe. |

Pam Nunn has worked in the field of education for 30 years and is an AMI 3-6 Teacher Trainer for AMTEF. She holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education gained in South Australia and gained her AMI (3-6) Diploma at the Sydney Montessori Teachers College in 1990. For 11 years, Pam held the position of Directress and authorised supervisor with the Sydney Montessori Society at Lindfield. Pam has been involved with professional development of Montessori teachers through workshops and national conferences. She is a convening group member of the Australian AMI Alumni Association Inc. and a board member of the Montessori Children’s Foundation. |

Dr Silvana Quattrocchi Montanaro received her degree in medicine and surgery, with a specialty in psychiatry, from the University of Rome. In 1955 she joined the staff of the Rome Montessori School for Assistants to Infancy, where she has taught mental hygiene, child neuropsychiatry, nutrition, and obstetrics. She is author of several books including “Understanding the Human Being: The Importance of the First Three Years of Life.” Dr Montanaro has been the Director of Training for the AMIAssistants to Infancy courses in Rome, San Diego, London and Mexico City and was responsible for bringing Assistants to Infancy training to the United States. |

Ginni Sackett is a Primary Trainer, Consultant, and Examiner of the Association Montessori Internationale and is currently Director of Primary Training at the Montessori Institute Northwest in Portland Oregon USA. She holds the Bachelor of Arts in History, Master of Arts in Asian Studies, and AMI Primary Diploma. After 12 years of Primary classroom experience, she joined the staff of the Portland training center in 1994 and completed the AMI Training of Trainers program in 2003. Ginni has presented a variety of topics to audiences of teachers, school support staff, parents and the general public at many local and regional conferences in the United States. |
